BAHAMAS, STILL TRAVEL GOALS! post hurricane dorian 0919

By Kahtura Fernander - 3:53 PM

The Bahamas was faced with one of the ugliest catastrophes in the country’s history.
A disaster not one citizen was ready to face. Thousands are left without homes, food, and shelter.

As a citizen of The Bahamas living in the United States, can you imagine the amount of concerning questions I receive from individuals who are concerned about everything, from what is actually going on to how they can assist, or if the news is feeding them facts.
Can you also imagine how many individuals are concerned about their upcoming trip to The Bahamas and if it is unsafe for them to travel, or if The Bahamas is still “open”. The answer is a lot. I work for a 500 employee company alone, imagine how many of them just left The Bahamas or was/is looking forward to an upcoming trip.

Although it’s been very hard to put my phone down, stop helping, or viewing updates the very minute they are available, I’ve decided to step away from the tragedy for a second just to remind the world that the entire Bahamas was not ruined by hurricane Dorian. Nassau and other beautiful islands in our 700 islands and keys archipelago still remain untouched.

So if you are booked and ready to go, or in the planning process to visit The Bahamas, no worries as you will still have the best time of your life while supporting the country at the same time. How amazing is that?

Now grab your swimsuit and sunblock because...You’re welcome ☺️
